Post Exchange Server setup

We want the following:
  • The mailboxes of our users reside on X9 server
  • Our Exchange server download and show the mails without user connecting to the Internet
  • If our server is down, the mails will stay in the X9 server
  • Our users send the mails directly from Outlook for both Internal and external mails.
  • External mails are routed directly from our exchange server

The reason is that we do not have enough bandwidth to redirect all mails to our exchange server and also the server does not have a static IP address. Also, not all the users are provided Internet Access but all of them have e-mail addresses. Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I would have to advise you to open a ticket at our helpdesk at http://support.x9hosting.com with this question and our Service Technicians can answer your questions.

Currently I do not have an account with you therefore I can not open a ticket. I am exploring a possibility to move my domain to you. I have following questions:
* Do you support SMTP relay for the hosted domains?
* If we setup mailboxes on x9hosting, can you forward them to our exchange server on scheduled times? or our server can poll those messages?
* Is there any option of downloading selected mailboxes to our exchange server and leaving some there?

Based on this we can decide whether we can move to you or not.

I hope you understand my concerns.

Regards,

Here are the answers to the questions you asked earlier:

* Do you support SMTP relay for the hosted domains?
--- Yes.
* If we setup mailboxes on x9hosting, can you forward them to our exchange server on scheduled times? or our server can poll those messages?
--- We can set the MX record to go to your server
* Is there any option of downloading selected mailboxes to our exchange server and leaving some there?
--- no. It's either all or none.
